The Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is an essential qualification for anyone managing vehicles for hire and reward. An Operator's Licence application requires that the applicant shows "professional competence". The CPC is the most common way to meet this requirement. As transport has become more complex and subject to legislation however, no transport manager worth their salt is without a CPC!
