Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser Courses

Organisations that carry regulated dangerous goods by road are required to have a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA).

This requirement is met either by using a consultant (see our consultancy section) or by obtaining the qualification for a member of staff, and carrying out the duties of a DGSA as part of an internal process. Specialist runs a five day DGSA course four times a year at our training centre in Lancashire, leading up to national examinations. Shorter refresher courses are available on request for those already qualified and with a good knowledge of the ADR.  The courses prepare trainees for the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) exams. The training covers the key areas of classification, packaging, labelling, documentation and the transport operation itself.  It is an intense but comprehensive course and will give a solid foundation for any individual aspiring to become an effective DGSA.

Separate DGSA training can be carried out for those who require the Rail (RID) or Inland Waterway (ADN) courses. To discuss your requirements in detail please give us a call.
