First Aid At Work Courses
The three day First Aid at Work course is approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and is delivered by some of the best first aid trainers in the country. It follows the same format as the previous HSE approved course but has been updated to include all aspects from the new HSE recommendations including training on the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The First Aid at Work course certification is valid for three years from the end date of the training course. To renew the certification, an individual must attend a refresher training session.
Course Content
- Refresher First Aid at work course – This is a two days long and is a slightly more intensive reprise of the three day course. It concentrates on updating and reminding trainees of the key skills they learned in their original training. It is recommended that to keep up to date and in practice between First Aid Refresher courses, individuals undergo a half day annual refresher training course.
- Annual First Aid Update training – This half day programme not only refreshes on basic life support but now also includes theory and practical training on the use of AEDs in the workplace.
