Changes to the Driver CPC Part 4 Test

Friday December 2016

The Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) have been reviewing the Driver CPC practical part 4 test for new lorry, bus and coach drivers.

As of the 1st December 2016 the test will be changed to reflect changes in modern technology such as digital tachographs and also to make the test easier to understand.

The changes in the test do not affect the required learning material as this remains the same.

In addition to these changes the DVSA are also piloting the use of external assessors to carry out the tests.  The pilot will take place between early December 2016 until early 2017.  This pilot, if successful will provider customers with a great choice of availability and locality.

We will keep you posted of any further developments.
